The spot at the top of the recruiting rankings had been a source of pride and has given the Miami Hurricanes some mojo as Mark Richt and his staff tries to secure the nation’s best recruiting class.
Jones is the third rated defensive tackle in the Class of 2018. He gives Ohio State a 14 man recruiting class. Miami currently has 18 players in their Storm ’18 class. Jones chose Ohio State over Miami and 18 other schools.
Per ESPN, Jones will appear in the 2018 Under Armour game. Three Miami verbal commitments are expected to appear in the game also.
