Nine Hurricanes named All-ACC — but only one on first team

The Miami Hurricanes had nine players earn All-ACC honors as the conference released its three teams and honorable mention selections on Tuesday morning.

The second team had four Hurricanes: Tight end Brevin Jordan, defensive end Jaelan Phillips, safety Bubba Bolden and punter Lou Hedley.

Chosen ahead of them at their positions: Boston College tight end Hunter Long, Pittsburgh defensive ends Patrick Jones II and Rashad Weaver — Weaver is a Cooper City grad — Virginia Tech’s Divine Deablo and Notre Dame’s Kyle Hamilton at safety and Georgia Tech punter Pressley Harvin III.

Borregales and Hedley were also named finalists for national awards at their positions on Tuesday.
