The Miami Hurricanes will have to replace likely starting quarterback, Houston graduate transfer D’Eriq King following the 2020 football season. The possibility exists that Miami could recruit another graduate transfer for the 2021 football season. Relying on the transfer portal for a QB each year is difficult.
Miami will definitely lose King following the 2020 season and seem likely to lose one or two backups behind him. Tate Martell and N’Kosi Perry are entering their redshirt junior seasons in 2020. Miami also has rising redshirt freshman Peyton Matocha and incoming freshman Tyler VanDyke at QB.
