The two new players on the Miami football roster for 2020 received the two lowest numbers for the Hurricanes. Graduate transfer quarterback D’Eriq King who is expected to be the star of the Miami offense in 2020 will wear number one and defensive end Quincy Roche was assigned number two.
Nesta Silvera wore number one for Miami at defensive tackle in 2019 and will continue to wear number one in 2020. No Hurricanes offensive player wore number one in 2019. King was number four during his four seasons as a Houston Cougar.
