Miami shortstop Jake Ogden will return for the 2026 season, per James Knable, who runs multiple Hurricanes social media accounts. Ogden was a key player and the leadoff hitter for Miami in 2025 as the Hurricanes advanced to their first super regional since 2016.
Ogden completed his first season with Miami in 2025 after playing for Division II Barry University as a freshman in 2023 and North Carolina-Greensboro in 2024. Playing at his highest level, Ogden had his best season in 2025, setting career highs with a .336 batting average, 63 runs scored, 84 hits, 14 doubles and nine home runs.
