Miami Griffin Hugus was selected much higher by the Seattle Mariners in the 2025 Major League Baseball Draft than he was initially projected.

The Seattle Mariners selected Miami right-handed pitcher Griffin Hugus from Miami with the 91st overall pick in the first round. Hugus was the 169th best prospect per MLB.
