The Miami Hurricanes hosted an FCS squad in Central Connecticut State on Saturday afternoon. The game, which had a weather delay, saw Miami curb stomp the Blue Devils 69-0 in an extremely uneven contest. The real hero of the afternoon was Blake James for booking this glorified scrimmage to give Manny Diaz an easy win to move his ‘Canes to 2-2 on the season.
The ‘Canes needed to look competent against a really bad CCSU program that recently moved up from the Division II ranks to FCS. With D’Eriq King on the sidelines with an injury Tyler Van Dyke got the nod for Miami and didn’t disappoint.
