Miami Hurricanes Three-Star Recruit Randy Russell Decommits

According to Ariz, the Miami staff loved Russell as a “box safety and a thumper.” Per a source, Ariz said that the Hurricanes are unlikely to re-recruit Russell. He is expected to matriculate at Florida.

Even without Russell, the Hurricanes have the number one class in 2018. Four Star recruits Josh Jobe and Gurvan Hall are two safeties Miami still expects to be part of the class of 2018.

Per Ariz, Miami is also expected to offer a scholarship to Nigel Bethel Jr at cornerback. Russell’s de-commitment opens a spot for other players the Hurricanes are pursuing.
