Miami Hurricanes strike lightning early and often over Central Connecticut State

The Miami Hurricanes scored their first touchdown on a five-yard pass from Tyler Van Dyke to Mike Harley less than three minutes into the game on their way to a 69-0 victory over Central Connecticut State. With starting quarterback D’Eriq King out with a shoulder injury, Van Dyke and Jake Garcia shined.

The Miami Hurricanes bolted to a 49-0 lead at halftime before lightning delayed the start of the second half. Van Dyke finished 10-11 for 270 yards and three TD passes. Garcia was 11-14 for 147 yards and two TDs and ran once for 45 yards.
