The top-ranked 2022 verbal commitment for the Miami Hurricanes wasted little time getting his senior high school football season started with a bang.
Khamauri Rogers, a four-star cornerback verbal commit, led Lexington (Ms.) Holmes County to a 47-0 victory over Greenwood (Ms.) to open the 2021 regular season.
Rogers scored two offensive touchdowns while playing wide receiver and added a defensive touchdown on a 30-yard interception return while playing cornerback.
Rogers finished the game with 70 receiving yards and 25 punt return yards. He also broke up two passes in addition to the interception and made two tackles.
