Eric King the father of Miami Hurricanes graduate transfer quarterback D’Eriq King has passed away per an emotional Twitter tribute via the new Miami signal-caller. The elder King was a high school football head coach at Westbury Christian in Houston. Losing his father is a tough situation for King at 22-years old.
The decision for King to transfer from Houston to Miami for his final season of college football was inspired by his father as he stated in the Twitter post. Multiple tributes poured in for Eric King as retweeted by D’Eriq. Among those were from Texas Director of Recruiting Bryan Carrington and former SMU running back Xavier Jones.
