Miami Hurricanes offensive line still developing after second scrimmage

The absence of rising redshirt sophomore center Corey Gaynor caused major reshuffling on the Miami Hurricanes offensive line Saturday. Rising junior Navaughn Donaldson moved to center which was the domino that created several players in new positions up front.

Delone Scaife was the other expected starter in a new spot Saturday. Scaife will be the left tackle baring any major changes when Miami opens the season in Orlando against Florida August 24. Scaife started seven games at right tackle in 2018.

Donaldson will be at left guard and Gaynor at center. Scaife and Donaldson’s moves from the right side of the offensive line to the left for 2019 leaves Miami with no returning starters in the same position from 2018.
