Malcolm Lewis choose Miami over offers from Florida State, Alabama and LSU. Having received playing time early in his first season, Lewis spent time playing on offense and special teams. In his first collegiate game, he reeled in four catches for 42 yards. Unfortunately, Lewis went down with a dislocated ankle, ending his season after four games.
Having undergone surgery and rehab, Lewis fought for every rep in a deep WR group that featured Allen Hurns, Stacy Coley and Phillip Dorsett.
