Miami Hurricanes Move Up to 2nd in Both Week 12 Polls

Related Topics: Up to, Coaches' Poll

Earning the second spot in both polls moved the Miami Hurricanes to their highest ranking since they were second in the October 26, 2003, poll. The Hurricanes finished that season 11-2 and ranked fifth in the country following a defeat of Florida State in the Orange Bowl.

Miami moved up five spots in the AP Poll and four in the USA Today poll. The five spot move in the AP Poll was the biggest this week. The four spot move in the Coaches Poll was tied with five other teams for the most this week.

This marks Miami’s fifth straight week in the top ten of both polls.
