Michael Pinckney announced his return on New Year Eve and Zach McCloud declared he would be back for his Senior season early in December. Their return in the middle of the Miami Hurricanes defense gives new Head Coach Manny Diaz great continuity as he ascends from being the Defensive Coordinator since 2016.
Quarterman has finished second on the Hurricanes in tackle all three of his seasons. Pinckney finished fifth as a Freshman in 2016 and third each of the past two seasons. Quarterman has the most total tackles for Miami over the past three seasons.
