This is the first time this season that the Miami Hurricanes were not ranked in the AP Media Poll. Miami began the season ranked 12th in the AP. They rose to as high a sixth in the December 6 and 12 polls.
Their first loss of the season to New Mexico State in Hawaii dropped them to 12. Subsequent losses to Georgia Tech, Clemson and Duke have dropped them completely out of the top 25. The Hurricanes will attempt to battle their way back into the AP Poll and avoid dropping out of the USA Today Coaches Poll with a pair of big games this week.
