After making eight of 34 from the floor in the opening 20 minutes, Miami connected on 14 of their 26 attempts from the floor after halftime. Although the game was only about an hour from LaSalle’s campus, it was a Miami home game.
Walker is from Reading and had a good portion of the crowd on his side. Jim Larranaga’s prize Freshman wasn’t able to give them the show they wanted.
Walker finished with just five points, two assists and two steals. He struggled from the floor. Walker made just two of his eight field goal attempts and missed all four of his three-point attempts.
