It appears, for the second consecutive season, Jakai Clark will start in Week 2 after serving in a reserve role on the offensive line for the opener.
The sophomore lineman was listed ahead of redshirt sophomore Ousman Traore at left guard in Monday’s release of UM’s depth chart for Saturday night’s Louisville game.
Clark was previously listed as the backup center behind redshirt junior Corey Gaynor. Redshirt sophomore Cleveland Reed is now in that spot.
Last season, Clark was inserted into the starting lineup at right guard for Week 2 at North Carolina after he didn’t start in the opener against Florida.
