Sometimes it’s not what you did, it’s what you didn’t do. After a loss at Virginia last week the Miami Hurricanes sat idle while a pair of teams that were ranked ahead of them lost. That allowed Miami to move back into the USA Today Coaches Poll after a one-week hiatus.
Number 20 Cincinnati lost 24-17 at Temple in overtime. Number 25 Colorado lost 27-13 at number 15 Washington. The Bearcats and Buffaloes dropped out of the Coaches poll after their losses.
Miami took Colorado’s Spot at number 25. The Hurricanes are 30th overall in the AP Media Top 25 under others receiving votes.
