Miami Hurricanes at the combine hope to expand the U legacy

Thirty-eight former Miami Hurricanes were on NFL rosters in 2018. Six former Hurricanes are participating in the NFL Combine in Indianapolis this weekend. Defensive Tackle Gerald Willis and defensive end Joe Jackson are expected to be the first two Miami alums selected in the 2019 NFL Draft.

As part of an elite defense in 2018 Willis and Jackson frequently spent time in opposing backfields. The Miami Hurricanes defense led FBS with 10.46 tackles for loss per game in 2018. The Hurricanes 136 TFLs tied Clemson for the for first nationally in two fewer games than the Tigers.
