In this installment of the Recruit Notebook, we meet the latest talented pass rusher to join the talented, but rebuilding, Canes DL: DE Jahfari Harvey.
Jahfari Harvey wasn’t always a blue chip caliber recruit. As a junior at John Carroll Catholic school, Harvey was a 3-star prospect despite a robust stat line of 91 tackles, 12 sacks, and scored 2 defensive touchdowns in 2017. Harvey was a 1st team all-area player, and colleges started taking note.
Along with Miami, Georgia, Michigan, and Oregon all offered the 6’4” 225lb rush end. Miami, however, did so early on and worked to build a relationship with Harvey, and that paid off with building a strong connection with Harvey, which led to his commitment.
