The Miami football staff has evolved a lot since the shutout loss to Louisiana Tech in the Independence Bowl last month in Shreveport, Louisiana. Head coach Manny Diaz began making changes when he fired former offensive coordinator Dan Enos shortly after the Hurricanes fell to the Bulldogs.
New offensive coordinator Rhett Lashlee was the first new hire to the Miami football coaching staff. Lashlee comes to Coral Gables from SMU. Lashlee hired former UNLV offensive coordinator and offensive line coach Garin Justice to improve a Hurricanes offensive line that was abysmal in 2019.
On the heels of those new hires to the Miami offense, wide receivers coach Taylor Stubblefield left for the same position at Penn State.
