Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald is reporting the Miami Football Program and Head Coach Manny Diaz are close to finalizing the new recruiting staff to replace the Hurricanes Director of Recruiting Matt Doherty and two assistants who were let go in early February.
David Cooney who has been a Quality Control Analyst on the Miami Offense is expected to be named Doherty’s replacement. Cooney has been offered the promotion of becoming the Director of Recruiting. He has not accepted the position yet but is expected to do so.
