Miami football moves up one spot in week three polls

Last week’s 33-17 loss to the LSU Tigers plummeted the Miami football team 12 and 13 spots in the Coaches and Media polls to 21st and 22nd. The Hurricanes are now ranked 20th and 21st after their week two blowout win.

Miami’s convincing victory came while their two biggest in-state rivals continued to plummet in the rankings. Florida dropped out after losing at home to Kentucky. Florida State lost significant votes after barely defeating FCS Samford at Doak Campbell Stadium Saturday night.

Next up for the Miami football team is Toledo. The Rockets had a rare but very strategically placed week two bye.
