The Miami football program has played 96 out of the 133 Football Bowl Subdivision teams that will participate in the 2023 season. Illinois and Minnesota of the Big 10, Iowa State of the Big XII and Oregon State, Stanford and Utah are the only Power Five conference teams Miami has never played.
Several of the other 31 teams that the Miami football team has not played in their history have recently moved up to become FBS programs. Miami has played 119 major programs in its history. Some of those programs have dropped to FCS or below.
