The 2024 Miami football class rose to 14th nationally after receiving a commitment from four-star defensive lineman Artavius Jones on Friday. Jones is the second blue-chip prospect in 24 hours for Miami after receiving a commitment from five-star wide receiver Joshisa Trader on Thursday. Jones is the fifth-highest Miami commit.
Jones is the 165th-ranked prospect, 20th DL and 25th recruit in Florida out of Blountstown. Miami gains a versatile prospect with Jones playing fullback, tight end, and offensive line during his high school career according to Gaby Urrutia of Inside the U.
