Junior wide receiver Jeff Thomas has had off the field problems that predated his signing with the Miami football team in 2017. Thomas missed the last two games of the 2019 season after leaving the team. The reason for Thomas being suspended on Saturday against Georgia Tech is a violation of team rules.
Numerous media outlets reported Thomas being suspended. In a three-wide receiver set sophomore Mark Pope is likely to take on the role of the slot receiver vacated by Thomas. Junior Mike Harley should see more targets on Saturday.
