Miami football addition of Bubba Bolden is big for secondary

Bubba Bolden’s announcement late on Wednesday that he joining the Miami football program is a big boost to a secondary that needs to replace both starting safeties in 2019. Jaquan Johnson who led Miami in tackles in each of the last two years and two-year starter Sheldrick Redwine were both Seniors in 2018.

Bolden announced his intent on Twitter in a picture of himself in a photoshopped number two Miami football jersey and the turnover chain draped in front of him. Bolden played as a Freshman at USC in 2017. He finished with eight tackles in five games.
