The addition of defensive line coach Jason Taylor to the Miami football staff is helping the Hurricanes in recruiting in multiple ways. For the first time since 2019, the 2024 Miami football class has commitments from St. Thomas Aquinas. Taylor was on the St. Thomas Aquinas staff from 2017 through 2021.
Miami has not recruited well for an extended period of time at St. Thomas Aquinas. Prior to 2024 commits, four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson and three-star defensive back Ryan Mack the last Miami signee from St. Thomas Aquinas was four-star linebacker Avery Huff in the 2019 class.
