The win on Senior night was special for Miami basketball players Ebuka Izundu, Anthony Lawrence and Zach Johnson. Lawrence scored a career-high 27 points and added 11 rebounds and four assists. Lawrence was incredibly efficient shooting 10-16 from the floor and making 3-5 on three-point attempts.
Izundu’s mother Ifeoma traveled from Nigeria to Miami for Senior night to see her son play in the United States for the first time. Izundu finished with 14 points and 14 rebounds, including seven offensive. It was his sixth double-double of 2018-19.
Pittsburgh got on the board first with a free throw nearly two minutes into the game.
