Without an in-season tournament championship since winning the Puerto Rico Tip-off Tournament in 2015, the Miami basketball team will travel to Grand Cayman for the Cayman Islands Classic in 2020. Miami lost two out of three games earlier this month at the Charleston Classic.
After a quarterfinal victory over Missouri State in their first game in Charleston in their in-season tournament this season, the Miami basketball team dropped their last two against Florida and Connecticut. Since defeating Butler for the title in Puerto Rico in 2015, Miami has advanced to the finals of an in-season tournament once.
