The Miami basketball program’s Charleston Classic Opener against Missouri State will be the programs’ first meeting. The Hurricanes and Bears will tipoff at 11:30 a.m as the first game of the 2019 Charleston Classic. Miami won the Classic in 2009 and ’14. The Hurricanes are the only team to win the tournament twice.
Miami finished runner-up in the Wooden Classic last season. The Hurricanes lost to Seton Hall in the championship game. Miami will play Florida or St. Joseph’s in the second game in Charleston. Buffalo, UConn, Towson and Xavier are the teams in the other half of the bracket.
