Miami basketball star Beatrice Mompremier named first team All-Americans

Beatrice Mompremier is a 6’4 forward who is a native of Miami. Mompremier transferred to the Miami basketball program after playing her first two seasons at Baylor. The Hurricanes finished 25-9 in 2018-19 and had wins over top-five programs Louisville and Notre Dame.

Mompremier averaged 16.7 points, 12.2 rebounds, 1.03 blocks and shot 52.8 percent from the floor in an All-ACC 2018-19. Miami advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament before getting eliminated by Arizona State at the Watsco Center. Getting to the Sweet 16 has eluded Miami coach Katie Meier.

Mompremier is the second player in the history of the Miami basketball program for the women to be named a preseason All-American.
