Ebuka Izundu’s mother Ifeomawill be at the Watsco’s Center on Tuesday night to see her son play for the Miami basketball team in his final home game. Izundu has not seen his mother in 18 months.
The reunion will be extremely emotional because its the first time he has seen her since his father died last summer. Ifeoma is traveling from Lagos, Nigeria, where Ebuka is a native of, to Miami to watch him play. Ebuka left home in 2013 to play high school basketball in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Iznudu grew up in Lagos playing soccer before he discovered basketball in 2011 at age 15.
