Matt Cross a consensus four-star signed, is ranked in the top 100 of the major recruiting sites. Cross had the height of a traditional small forward at 225 pounds and the athletic build of a power forward who is adept in the post and on the perimeter. Cross will be a part of the 2020 Miami basketball recruiting class.
Cross played in AAU for coach Leo Paipile. Former Miami basketball star and current Detroit Pistons starter Bruce Brown Jr. also played for Paipile. Cross was one of two players in the NIKE EYBL circuit to finish in the top ten in both points scored and rebounding.
