Virginia Tech defeated the Miami basketball team 84-70 in Blacksburg to close out the 2018-19 regular season last Friday. The Hokies won by frequently going deep. Virginia Tech made 14 of their 31 three-point attempts in the victory.
The Miami basketball team played well in the victory over Wake Forest, particularly in the second half. The Hurricanes made 16-28 from the floor after halftime and held Wake Forest to 16-35. Miami also did a good job turning over the Demon Deacons 15 time. Seven of those were steals.
Jim Larranaga and his staff are going to have to come up with a good game plan defensively against the Hokies.
