The victory by the Miami basketball women was their second in their last three games over a team ranked in the top four nationally and the program’s first-ever over a top two team in the country.
The Hurricanes victory over Louisville coupled with their victory over number four Notre Dame vaults them to first in the ACC. Emese Hof scored 25 points and had seven rebounds, five assists and three steals in the victory over the Cardinals.
Miami Head Coach Katie Meier said after the game that in the big games Hof is as good as any of the National Player of the Year Candidates.
