The Miami baseball team earned the ninth national seed in the NCAA Tournament that begins Friday. After the loss to Clemson in the ACC Championship Game on Sunday Miami is 41-19 entering the NCAA Tournament. Miami will open the regional versus fourth-seeded Maine on Friday.
Second-seeded Texas plays third-seed Louisiana in the other Coral Gables regional game. NCAA regionals are a double-elimination format. The losers and winners will play in the second round. The losers of the first-round games play an elimination game on Saturday. The winner of its first two games is in the regional championship.
