The measurement used that has the Miami baseball program eighth according to Baseball America is “The total of wins above replacement, as estimated by Baseball-Reference.com, compiled by alumni in the major leagues, ignoring players who posted negative WAR values.”
In the 20 year span that Baseball America used for their rankings, Miami has ACC Championships in 2008, 2014, 2016, made the NCAA Tournament in all but the 2017 and ’18 seasons, made 12 Super Regional Appearances, eight College World Series appearances and titles in 1999 and 2001.
The 1999 CWS appearance was the last of six consecutive trips to Omaha by the Hurricanes.
