Weeks ago, Miami Hurricanes S Avantae Williams was dismissed from the program with pending charges of domestic battery.
Subsequently, those charges were dropped by the authorities.
In light of those charges being dropped, Miami Athletics released the following statement regarding Williams and his status with the University and Football Program earlier today:
“With the State of Florida dropping criminal charges against Avantae Williams, the University of Miami Department of Athletics has decided to reinstate him to the football program.
Despite charges being dropped, we take all allegations of domestic violence very seriously.
