Miami and Mario Cristobal appear to be on the verge of missing out on the top two transfer quarterbacks, Brendan Sorsby of Cincinnati and Sam Leavitt of Arizona State. The Hurricanes are expected to pursue a transfer QB to replace starter Carson Beck.
Sorsby has been predicted to transfer to Texas Tech by Pete Nakos and Steve Wiltfong of On3. Sorsby left his LSU visit and per Pete Thamel of ESPN, "He's told coaches at Texas Tech and LSU that he'll make a decision tonight (Sunday)."
Sorsby completed 61.6 percent of his pass attempts for 2,800 yards, 27 touchdowns and five interceptions with 580 rushing yards and another nine scores.
