Much was made of Allen Hurns throughout his Miami Hurricanes career. A local standout from Carol City HS, Hurns was a 3-star recruit who decided to follow the footsteps of other Carol City alums such as Kenny Phillips and Santana Moss and commit to the Miami Hurricanes.
After a college career that saw Hurns become the All-Time Leading Receiver (yards in a single season) in Miami Hurricanes History as a Senior, Hurns went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was signed by the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent.
