Miami alum Kyshawn George erupted for a career-high 34 points to lead the Washington Wizards past the Dallas Mavericks, 117-107, on Friday night in Dallas. The second-year wing drilled seven 3-pointers and added 11 rebounds as Washington earned its first win of the season and dropped Dallas and No. 1 overall pick Cooper Flagg to 0-2.
George's line was efficient: 11-of-15 from the field, 7-of-9 from deep and 5-of-5 at the line in 35 minutes, with four assists, three blocks and two steals. The 6-foot-8 former Hurricane also hit the dagger— a corner three that pushed the margin to 113-103 inside two minutes.
