Marquez Ezzard’s transfer from Miami football won’t hurt WR corps

The starting wide receivers for the Miami football team in 2019 project to be Rising Juniors Jeff Thomas and Mike Harley and Graduate Transfer KJ Osborn from Buffalo. Marquez Ezzard was part of a stellar group of wide receivers in Miami’s 2018 recruiting class.

Ezzard redshirted last season. His classmates Dee Wiggins, Mark Pope and Brian Hightower received more playing time. All but Wiggins were four-star players coming out of high school.

Wiggins received the most playing time of those four because he is the most adept blocker. He also reportedly knew Mark Richt’s playbook the best of the Freshman wide receivers.
