Now what for Miami football? That's what a lot of people have in mind after the Hurricanes let a game slip away on Saturday in Texas. There was no reason for Miami to lose to SMU, but in shocking fashion, an overtime defeat was posted.
We can blame the officials all we want for some beyond questionable calls, but the fact of the matter here is that Miami dropped the ball late in the action and SMU took full advantage. As you might have been able to guess, Mario Cristobal was not happy following the final whistle, delivering some passionate words not long after his team fell to 6-2 on the year:
