Former Miami football head coach Mark Richt began Paradise Camp his first summer as the Hurricanes head coach in 2016. Twenty-five of the attendees at the inaugural paradise camp eventually signed with Miami. All but two of those signees are currently on the Miami roster.
Defensive lineman DJ Johnson transferred to Oregon after his 2017 Freshman season to be closer to his family in Sacramento. Cade Weldon is now at East Tennessee State after redshirting as a freshman in 2017 and only seeing playing time against Savannah State in 2018.
