When Manny Diaz was hired in December 2018 to replace Mark Richt as the Miami football coach, he mentioned the Hurricanes getting back to securing Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties as their foundation in recruiting. Twelve of the 15 commits to Miami for 2021 recruiting class are from Dade or Broward counties.
