Thomas was most recently the wide receivers coach at Kentucky under former Miami Defensive Backs Coach Mark Stoops. Beard is currently the Director of Player Personnel and Assistant Recruiting Coordinator at Toledo who the Miami football team defeated in each of the past two seasons.
Diaz mentioned in his introductory press conference as the Head Coach that will he be hiring one more defensive coach in addition to the entirely new offensive staff. The Wide Receivers Coach could hinge on who Diaz brings in to be the Offensive Coordinator. Diaz has three finalists to be his first Offensive Coordinator at Miami.
