The nearly two season ride with Mark Richt returning to his alma mater to coach the Miami Hurricanes have been a renaissance for UM football. Miami is 17-4 in Richt’s first two seasons returning to Coral Gables.
They have accomplished a lot in less than two seasons. Miami won its first bowl game in ten years last season, defeated Florida State for the first time since 2010 this season, broke a four-game losing streak against Notre Dame, have won their first ACC Coastal division title and earned their highest ranking in the polls (second) this week in 14 years.
