The Miami football program added another commit in the 2021 signing class with the addition of three-star cornerback Myles Mooyoung from Wylie E. Groves High School in Birmingham, Michigan in suburban Detroit. Mooyoung transferred to Wylie E. Groves after previously playing at Kenwood Academy in Chicago.
Illinois moved its fall football season to the spring precipitating Mooyoung to move to Birmingham to get more video on his play. Mooyoung spoke to the Chicago Sun-Times in October and stated that his moved was helped that his father lives and works in Michigan.
